Book Promotion and Spinach Dip with Pita Chips
Authors and Writers: How are you using displaying (or sampling) to help promote your book online? This is a short video I created about 2 years ago and I wanted to share it with you again on this new site. As they say, it is an oldie but a goodie. I hope you enjoy. And please feel free to share your thoughts and ideas about displaying and promoting.

The Power of a Word
Have you ever noticed you can be in a conversation with someone and they can say one sentence or even it is only one word and BAM! You have an AHA moment. That is the power of words…spoken or written. Words can bring up, stir, create, evoke and harness powerful feelings and emotions. Yesterday I went on Facebook for a few moments and as I was wading through my stream of friends, I saw a name that spoke to me that I needed to visit her page. Jennifer Louden. I haven’t been on her page in awhile but I felt compelled to click on her name. She evokes positive and thought provoking words and it was what I needed at that moment. Why Not? for Writers and Authors
I have been a fan of Shania Twain’s ever since she started. As many of you know, I am a HUGE fan of music of all kinds….from rock, pop, metal, reggae to country. The other day I clicked onto her latest show, Why Not? with Shania Twain on the OWN Network. For those of you don’t know I can give you a bit of background as the premise of the show. Accepting It, Recognizing It, and Celebrating it: Success
In the last week, I had been faced with interesting happenings(some good, some not so fun) in my life. And I had reflected back as to how I reacted to the different things as they related to the word SUCCESS. Last Monday, I had my first weigh in after I had been working out at the gym for a month. I had lost 7 inches (around different parts of my body)!! But what I focused on is that I gained 4 lbs. I didn’t allow myself to celebrate what I had accomplished. The success from working out hard for 4 days each week and putting in the time at the gym (45 minutes each day, sometimes more). Instead, at first I chose to beat myself up … Continue reading
For Writers: Musical Inspiration – Dare You To Move
Writers: It is Easy to Say No to Success When you Let Fear Win I love music! All kinds of music. From the Eagles and REO Speedwagon to Foo Fighters and Jimmy Eat World to Jack Jackson and UB40 to Carrie Underwood and Shaina Twain to etc, etc, etc. For me, music is just the thing that can get my creative juices flowing (and also gets my butt moving when exercising). When I listen to a song, it can motivate me, inspire me or allow me to remember a memory from my past or let me dream of the future. I love having MUSIC in my life. So, for this series I call, For Writers: Musical Motivation, I share with you a song I believe … Continue reading
